When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm usually out hiking in the wild, lugging a 10 lb. backpack full of camera equipment, searching for that perfect scene with perfect light.

I've also been documenting my photo trips and techniques on my Youtube channel, though I'm currently not as active on it, since my primary focus is capturing photos.

Mountains

Nothing quite captures my imagination like mountains. The weather and light play important roles when photographing mountain scenes, particularly during the morning and evening hours. Besides for their rugged beauty, they hold a deeper significance, personifying the attributes of strength and endurance.

Woodlands

There's nothing like the ever-changing beauty of the forests. From season to season, these magical places transform, sometimes in such a dramatic fashion that it's hard to imagine it's the same place. Out of all things in nature, trees are the entity we most identify with, as they are living, growing, changing things that truly reflect us in so many ways.

Deserts

For me personally, the desert is where I feel happiest. The seemingly lifeless, colorless swathes of land are anything but. The more time spent in the desert, the more one is transfixed by its timeless beauty. The shapes of the weathered rock, the magical glow of the sun on vast sand dunes, the twisted plants that cling to life... all embody the spirit of fortitude, patience, and downright beauty.

Water

Life, energy, movement. These are the attributes of water in nature. It is sometimes calm and beautiful, and other times relentless and wild. It shapes the very land itself. Capturing the magic of water within an environment is one of the most exhilarating moments in nature photography, and often, one of the most rewarding.
